How to evolve on the Bug Tree

Read the level bar in your session: Garden Spider at level 12, Mosquito at level 40, or a Housefly that asked for level 12 and 200 coins are three different observations.

How to evolve on the Bug Tree

Read the level bar in your session: Garden Spider at level 12, Mosquito at level 40, or a Housefly that asked for level 12 and 200 coins are three different observations.

Your next form is printed in the session you are playing. Two different readings showed up in late October 2026 gameplay, and they do not collapse into one tree.

What the screen actually prints

Look under the health bar, then at the evolve control above it.

  • One HUD line read SPIDERLING · Garden Spider at Lv 12. Reaching that level and pressing Evolve changed the form without a published coin cost.
  • Another line read YOUNG FLY · Mosquito at Lv 40, with an Evolve → Mosquito control. A paid price can appear on that button before you qualify. One clip showed a Robux skip near 25; ignore it if you want the free evolve.
  • An October 27 walkthrough instead opened a choice between Grasshopper and Housefly. Housefly needed level 12 and 200 coins and could fly. Grasshopper's own level and coin cost were not printed. The evolve screen listed stats for both options.
  • A Housefly stat card was also seen at level 17, so level 12 is the cost from that one walkthrough, not a proof that every Housefly is level 12.

If your bar names a different bug, follow the bar. Do not force the Housefly purchase just because another player had that choice.

Confirmed steps when the bar names a level

  1. Eat food and finish quests until you reach the level on the bar.
  2. Press the Evolve control above the bar once it no longer asks for Robux.
  3. Check that your model and the name on the bar changed.
  4. Keep leveling. Evolving does not end the run. The October 27 walkthrough also said dying does not wipe progress.

Forms seen, and what is still blank

Form What was actually seen Still unknown
Spiderling Starter name on the level bar. Becomes Garden Spider at level 12 in that HUD. Whether every new player is labeled Spiderling or only Spider.
Garden Spider Tier 1. A players list showed one at level 48. Coin cost, if any.
Grasshopper Tier 2. Seen at level 31. Offered beside Housefly on October 27. Its own level and coin requirement.
Housefly Flight. Level 12 and 200 coins on October 27. Stat card at level 17 in another clip. Which sessions offer it as the first choice.
Young Fly Evolve bar pointed at Mosquito at level 40. Proboscis button seen. What Proboscis does.
Mosquito Next form after Young Fly at level 40. Stats. This is not the November 5 Giant Mosquito enemy event.
Black Widow Tier 3. Players list at level 43. NEXT on the Bug Tree, and a Tracking quest. Level and coin cost.
Locust Tier 3. NEXT on the Bug Tree. Unlock level. A Grasshopper-to-Locust link is not confirmed.
Wolf Spider Tier 4. Level 53 with 966 HP in one fight. Hunt button seen. What Hunt does. 966 HP is that snapshot, not a base stat.
Tier 5 and Tier 6 Bug Tree nodes shown as ???. Buy Next Spider products exist through T6. The form names.

The official description says the roster is 30+ insects, including flies, moths, grasshoppers, tarantulas, and giant prehistoric beasts, with new insects every update. Most of those names are not on a public stat card yet.

Tracking, coins, and paid skips

The quest menu has Tracking, Quick, and Hourly tabs. Tracking follows the evolution you selected, including Black Widow when that quest is available. The Bug Tree can show a coin total and a blue NEXT tag. Exact coin costs per tier are not published, except the Housefly's 200 coins in the October 27 walkthrough.

Paid shortcuts reported from the October 28, 2026 developer-product list:

Product Reported price
Evolve Now R$29
Buy Next Spider T2 R$19
Buy Next Spider T3 R$29
Buy Next Spider T4 R$39
Buy Next Spider T5 R$99
Buy Next Spider T6 R$129

You can evolve without Robux by meeting the level on the bar. Those prices were not re-listed by a public products endpoint on November 2, 2026, so treat them as a dated shop snapshot. The full list is in the shop guide.

How to choose when you do get a choice

  • If the screen offers Housefly and you are being eaten, flight is the documented escape tool. One clip still had flight fail for a moment, so keep Run ready.
  • If the screen offers Grasshopper, compare the stat bars on that screen. No outside source ranked it against Housefly.
  • If the bar only names Garden Spider at level 12, that is a free level evolve in the sessions that showed it. It is not a worse Housefly.
  • Black Widow is a later Tracking target. Do not spend coins on it until the quest prints a requirement.

After you evolve, you keep leveling as the new bug. Whether level-up upgrades reset is not published.
